DanialDija: Episode of Keropok Bantal

Scene:  Living Hall, TV blaring with Disney Chanel program (Doc Mcstuffin or something similar).  We just arrived to have dinner with the Gang, and also to checkout Adik Aishah who is having measles.  Mama holding Adik Aishah on her lap.

Danial:  Ja, nah (holding out a bowl of keropok bantal).
Dija: Tak naaaaaaaaak!!
Danial: Naahhh...amikkkk!!
Dija: Tak naaakkk! Tak naaaakkkk!
Danial:  Apsal Ja tak nak ni Ma? Ja..amikk..sedapppp...tengok Abang makan!

Ma: *speechless*

Note:  Ma is what Danial calls me.  Short for Rosma.

Dija:  Nak Mama suapkan keropok (Must be jealousy case, since Aishah was on my lap)
Mama:  Hish, ngada lah kamu ni (whilst feeding her one to two keropok)

After about three times of feeding her the Keropok, takes bowl away from Mama and feeds herself.

Mama: *speechless again*

Danial: Haaa sedapkan Ja? (continues watching TV and munching Keropok Bantal)

Father Figure

Time flies. Its almost the end of 2012, and only God knows what is in store for us in 2013, or even if we make it to 2013.

You've always been a Mama's girl.  Semua pun nak dengan Mama.  Baba thinks I am your idol. And because of that I have to be careful of what I do and say with you even more.

Baba prefers to play the silent, background loving father.  Seldom showing his playful side with you and prefer to be appear extra strict with you even though Mama thinks the situation does not warrant him to be so.  When I ask him why he needs to be so garang? His response would be "She needs to be disciplined" :P

Anyway,he loves you dearly. He may be over protective, and sometimes seemingly appear to be monstrous (well, okay, maybe too much on the monster description).  But he loves you.

The Night After EidulAdha

We celebrated Eid ulAdha in KL this year.  Baba made qurban this year for you, and Alhamdullilah, the volunteers managed to complete qurban for all 21 cows on the same day.

The morning started with Mak Long and I cooking the special meal for the day.   Mak Long made delicioso yummy Ayam Masak Merah and Pilaf Rice, while Mama made Gulai Tulang, Pegedil and Sambal Ikan Bilis.

After prayers, Pak Long and entourage made way to his in-laws in Gombak, returning the same afternoon with more scrumptious food...aduhaii..there goes my diet!

The next Saturday night before we left for home, we had dinner at Secret Recipe, where upon paying for our bill realized that Aunty Gee's daughter was manning the till.  Despite being "advised" to behave, you and Ahmad felt its more fun to have your way in one corner of the restaurant.  Well, at least you guys were supervised so that you don't crawl on the floor, sit on the couch with your slippers on or jump up and down the sofas.

Here are some photos of the night...  I love it.

May ALLAH bless my little loved ones.

That Place In Port Dickson

Baba and I love coming over to this place.  Its the Coconut Grove Restaurant in Port Dickson.  We just love the ambience, and the whole windy, breezy feeling when you sit by the restaurant table and stare at the endless sea in front.

At least here, you get to play by the beach and get some sun.

Mama got to know of this place from another blogger (www.mamatiamia.blogspot.com) who also likes to make a pitstop here whenever she goes back to her village in Kuala Pilah.

For now, at least, if we need a short weekend getaway from the city, we can still brave out the energy to drive here.

Berangan

Mama is in a dreamy mood today.  I'm alway dreaming of my dream kitchen.  Something like this would be nice.

Baba would just nod and shake his head when I tell him of my dream.  The most he would respond to me would "yes dear, nanti kita buat camtu"

Well, who knows.  Maybe by the time you are able to read this blog, we really have one just like that eh? waaaaaaaaaaaaa..best!

A Fresh New Start

I have been pouring out feelings and emotions into this blog for more than a year.  And I have to admit it was to help me deal with me losing your Nenek.

As time goes by, I feel that is not right this memoir for you is filled with sad, longing entries, when there are so much more for you to know and have as a keepsake of me.

So today, I vowed to make this blog as lively as you are today.

Thank You Allah SWT for making me realize that I never really lose my Mak as memories of her really lives in my mind everyday.  And for giving me the strength to really LIVE for the ones I have today.

Subhanallah.

Nenek

I feel like writing today, hence a second post for the day.

All the experience with Mak Mi brings back fond memories of your Nenek.

Today, I miss her most (this won't be the last time).

I miss her laughter. Her funny sms-es  sent during late afternoons while I am at work.  I miss her glaring at me because I think I've done something funny (when it's not). I miss her freshly showered smell.  I miss rubbing her back. I miss her afternoon phone calls asking me what she should cook for dinner.

I miss her.

Mak, we all miss you.  May Allah grant you Jannah, and may He grants us our request to meet you in the Afterlife.
